Online grief support to help you shift from overwhelm to hope

Your grief is welcome here.

Are you feeling a deep sense of loss and sadness?

Are you wondering how you will get through this pain

and when you will feel like yourself again?

If you are unsure how to cope with your grief or what life looks like without your special person (or pet) here, I'm here to support you.

Many people find that support from family and friends

is unhelpful or full of platitudes. You deserve an opportunity to be fully heard, understood and supported through this challenging time. Let your grief take up the space it needs, instead of trying to minimise it for others.

I know you are hurting. I know because, I too, have lost

someone special in my life. I’m here to walk beside you

as you navigate your own unique experience of grief and loss.

While counselling won’t take away your grief, I can support you to be compassionately present with the pain it brings and learn how to adapt to life after loss.

Hello, I'm Michelle

Welcome to Grief Space.

I live on the Sunshine Coast with my husband, our beautiful teenagers and our cuddly Cavoodle dog. My passions include yoga, beach walks, meditation and spending quality time with my loved ones.

My years of volunteer counselling, including my current role with Griefline, have given me a profound appreciation of how important it is to share our grief experiences with others, for comfort, shared wisdom and healing.

I bring years of study and personal development, as well as my lived experience of grief, to my counselling space - offering deep listening, genuine empathy and authentic connection to support you in your grief journey.

Grief is a normal human experience, not a problem to be resolved.
Let's create a space where you can compassionately process your pain and honour your unique experience with grief, as you adapt to life after loss.

Online
counselling

Online counselling offers you the convenience of attending your counselling session from wherever you are.

We will use a secure telehealth video portal to connect at the time of your appointment. You won't need to download a program.

Please ensure that you have a private and quiet space ready to use for your counselling session.

Some people like to have their dog or cat join them for the session as a source of comfort.

About our sessions

Sessions are 60 minutes in length and your investment is $120 AUD.

You will receive a booking confirmation email with your unique and secure telehealth link so that we can connect at the time of your appointment.

Medicare does not currently offer rebates for counselling sessions. You don't need a referral to commence counselling.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions via the chat function or by email Michelle@GriefSpace.com.au or text message 0438 748 505

Benefits of grief counselling

Grief counselling offers you the opportunity to openly express your raw emotions and unfiltered thoughts while receiving non-judgemental support.

Having the space to acknowledge and deeply feel your grief will help you avoid suppressing emotions or numbing the pain away in unhealthy ways.

Engaging in grief counselling will help you find ways to withstand the waves of grief, honour your unique experience and carry it forward into your life after loss.
